Drug Intervention record
Can I be a Pharmacy Tech after completing PTI?
I am very interested in becomming a Pharmacy Tech. I am great with customer service and math and a quick learner. But I have a record. The PTCB (Certification Board) requirements are that you cannot have a felony charge related to drugs or pharmacy, but what if you were arrested for drugs, charged but are going through Pre-trial Intervention? Because what the judge told me is that I am fortunate to be in PTI because when I am finished my charges will be dismissed. The arrest will still be searchable, but under the charges it will say dismissed. So this is not a “convicted felony” or even a felony…does the Board allow this? Anyone know? I don’t want to waste the time and money if not.
Most states do not require that you pass the PTCE. The state will conduct a background check. You will not be granted an automatic license like most people. The rule about taking the exam says one must be convicted of a felony and it doesn’t say anything about being arrested.
You are a model. Teens are watching you and how you handle crisis situations in your life. drug intervention record They look at your problem solving skills and often times use them as their own. So if you solve your problems with alcohol, they may do the same.
