Drug Intervention stories

What do you say to a friend in trouble?

A friend of mine recently came up for a visit. I haven’t seen him in about 10 years. He’s mentioned that he gave up his business, sold all his race cars and engines and is getting a divorce. He’s extremely underweight, his front teeth are quite brown and possibly rotting. Also my biggest fear is that I see both of his baby finger nails are super long… I am totally sure he’s into drugs. Didn’t see this coming from him at all.
I’m quite worried. I don’t know what to say to him. I don’t want to let this go and end up being one of those stories where I say, “I should have said something”.
What do I say…how do I start the conversation? I do not want to do an intervention or anything. I don’t even know if he’ll admit it.

My best advice to you is to keep him at arms length, and don’t let him bring you down because he is in such a horrible state, sometimes that’s just human nature for someone to do that when they see how bad they’re doing when you’re doing k. just pray for him and ask God to help him with his problems.
