Drug Intervention procedures

How much did you know about the risks of interventions before your baby’s birth?

When I say interventions I mean:

Induction (Pessary)
Induction (Hormone Drip)
Augmentation (Hormone Drip)
Epidural anaethesia
Electronic Foetal Monitoring
IV Fluids
Artificial Rupture of Membranes
Narcotic Drugs
Vaginal Examinations
Episiotomy
and others.

I want to know how many people are actually warned of the risks of these procedures before they are employed. If you were fully aware of risks, had a choice and still chose any of these options, why did you do so?

Has anyone only become aware of the risks in retrospect and if so how do you feel about the lack of information from your caregiver now?
